Psychoeducational Assessments at Raha Psychology
Insight for growth. Clarity for support. Peace of mind for your family.
At Raha Psychology, we understand how difficult it can be when your child is struggling with learning, attention, or emotional regulation. You want answers—and most importantly, a path forward.
A psychoeducational assessment can offer the clarity you need.
These comprehensive evaluations are designed to uncover your child’s cognitive, academic, and emotional profile. Whether your concerns are academic, behavioral, or emotional, a psychoeducational assessment provides insight into how your child learns, processes information, and interacts with the world—so you can better support their development, success, and well-being.
What is a Psychoeducational Assessment?
A psychoeducational assessment evaluates a child or youth’s:
- Cognitive abilities (such as memory, problem-solving, and reasoning)
- Academic skills (reading, writing, math)
- Executive functioning (attention, organization, and planning)
- Emotional and behavioral patterns (when needed)
These assessments are often used to explore learning challenges, ADHD, giftedness, or emotional/behavioral concerns. They also play a key role in identifying whether a diagnosis, such as a Specific Learning Disorder, ADHD, or other neurodevelopmental condition, is present.
But most importantly, they provide recommendations and strategies tailored to your child’s needs at home, in school, and in life.
What’s Included in the Process?
Our psychoeducational assessments are thorough, supportive, and designed to be as stress-free as possible for your child. The full process includes:
- Intake Session
A collaborative conversation with parents or caregivers to understand your child’s history, strengths, and current challenges. We also walk you through the full process, answer questions, and gather information about school, development, and home life.
- Assessment Sessions
Your child will meet with a psychologist for 2–3 sessions to complete standardized tasks measuring:
- Cognitive functioning
- Academic achievement
- Attention and executive functioning
- Additional areas like emotional regulation or social development (if needed)
Parents and teachers may also complete questionnaires to provide a full picture.
- Scoring, Analysis & Report Writing
Behind the scenes, our psychologists analyze your child’s results—identifying strengths, challenges, and patterns. This is carefully written into a comprehensive report that is both clinically sound and easy to understand.
- Feedback & Results Session
We meet with you to go over the results, diagnosis (if applicable), and provide personalized, actionable recommendations. You’ll receive your written report, and we’ll discuss how to support your child at home and in school moving forward.
Investment & Payment Options
We offer psychoeducational assessments at a flat rate of $2,600, which includes:
- The intake session
- 2–3 child assessment sessions
- Scoring, interpretation, and report writing
- A final feedback meeting and written report
To make the process more accessible, we offer flexible payment plans and can support you in using insurance benefits or health spending accounts. If financial barriers exist, please speak with us—we’re happy to explore options.
